ABOUT THE COMPANY

LaMov Compañía de Danza was created in 2008 in Zaragoza by Víctor Jiménez (formed with Maurice Béjart, dancer of the Víctor Ullate company and soloist of the Opera de Lyon), who remains as director.

In a clear commitment to experiment and evolve, LaMov regularly works with choreographers of very different styles such as Itzik Galili, Sharon Fridman, Antonio Ruz or Kirill Radev, entering their particular choreographic worlds and filling the company’s own language with nuances.

Throughout its history, LaMov has launched more than twelve large-format productions and various small pieces. In his repertoire are classics such as The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella or El Trovador, and more contemporary works by choreographers such as Rodovalho or Francisco Lorenzo.

With all these shows, LaMov has been present in the United States, France, Italy, Great Britain or Germany. In Spain, he has performed in such emblematic theaters as the Campoamor Theater in Oviedo, the Fernán Gómez Theater in Madrid, the Jovellanos Theater in Gijón, the Principal Theater in Mahón, the Cervantes Theater in Málaga, and the Vigo and Murcia Auditoriums, among others . Since January 2017, it has the support of the Government of Aragon and is LaMov-Compañía Aragonesa de Danza.
